Description

A striking original vintage 1930s Arts & Crafts brooch; designed as an eagle in a flowering tree it is stylised interpretation of the myth of Mexico City. The piece has been beautifully made; hand stamped and plannished (hammered) to show a textured background that really makes the embossed bird and tree ‘pop’ and finished with turquoise cabochon accents. A really stylish addition to any jacket or sweater.

ORIGIN: No maker but stamped ‘Silver Made in Mexico’

SIZE: 2.25″ diameter

CONDITION: Great vintage condition; the embossed finished is crisp with minimal wear, the four turquoise have been hand set and are secure. Simple hook pin works well and is secure. Please note that I have not over cleaned this piece as I prefer the patina of vintage silver but you could have a jeweller polish this piece up further if you wish.
