A stunning pair of original antique Georgian earrings; featuring intense warmly hued polished Carnelian drops to domed cabochons, all elegantly set in buttery yellow gold.

This particular type of earrings is known as ‘torpedo’ style and was immensely popular during the 1830s to accentuate elegant necklines. These are a particularly fine quality stones and rare to have survived in such gorgeous condition.

They’re supremely elegant and very wearable today; and surprisingly modern looking. They look fabulous with a simple cashmere knit and jeans, or a cocktail dress and would be the perfect addition to your fall wardrobe!

ORIGIN: English

MATERIAL: Natural carnelian and yellow gold – unmarked but test as antique European grade gold around 8 or 9k which was commonly in use around this era.

SIZE: Bottom drop is 4cm length. Total drop from top of hook to base is 6cm. Top is 9mm diameter.

CONDITION: Great antique condition. Carnelian is perfect with no chips or cracks and good strong intense orange colour with small natural mottling in some orientations. Settings are secure.
