Description

A super stylish original vintage Libra pendant; designed by the renowned American sculptor Robert Gilroy. Famous for being the ninth engraver to the U.S. mint between 1948-1964, Gilroy designed the iconic Kennedy half dollar. After leaving the U.S. mint, he joined Franklin Mint in 1964, a private foundation where he designed some of their most collectible pieces during the 1970s.

This piece is from the height of his work for Franklin Mint during the 1970s and features an elegant libra balancing scales and a star, and the to reverse is intricately laid out all the star signs around a flaming sun.

On its original chain it looks great on its own or layered with other pieces. The perfect addition to any vintage loving Libra’s jewellery collection!
