A really striking original 1970s moonstone ring; finely modelled in buttery yellow gold to two captivating moonstones, unusually set to ‘hover’ above the finger.

This stunning piece shows the influence of space age and sci-fi on designs of the era; it almost looks like a piece you’d see on Princess Leia in Star Wars!

Beautifully made this gorgeous piece is very comfortable to wear and supremely stylish dressed up or down. A great addition to any vintage jewellery collection.

ORIGIN: English – full hallmark for London 1974.

MAKER: ‘CJW’ inside a triangle – alas I’ve not been able to find out whom this is exactly but it’s a beautifully made ring, really lovely quality.

MATERIAL: 9ct Yellow Gold and moonstones

SIZE: UK ring size N 3/4 – U.S size 7.25. The moonstones measure 11mm, they stand 6mm high from the finger.

WEIGHT: 4.2grams

CONDITION: Great vintage condition – beautiful quality ring with minimal signs of wear. Cabochon stones have a stunning blue adularesence (that ethereal glowing ‘sheen’) that is a feature of high quality moonstones. Settings are secure and shank has a good thickness to it.
