Description

A striking original Art Deco sterling silver collarette; made in America but very much in the Danish style featuring scrolling panels of embossed silver to domed spacer links. The clasp is a simple hook but ingeniously designed so as to keep the links continuous around the neck to make a true collarette style.

This has such an elegant design and with a gorgeous weight, it’s sits beautifully around the neck; lovely to wear it can be dressed up or down. Alas there is no makers mark; it takes heavily from the iconic Danish jewellery being designed by the likes of Georg Jensen at this time. As such this makes an extremely stylish addition to any vintage jewellery collection; great craftsmanship without the designer premium!

MATERIAL: Sterling Silver (stamped on clasp)

SIZE: 16.75″ long but could be easily extended with addition of jump rings if desired. Links are 1″ long.

WEIGHT: 51.2grams – beautiful substantially made piece.

CONDITION: Great vintage condition – the links are solidly made with minimal signs of wear. Hook clasp is nice and secure. I have not over polished this piece as personally I think the vintage patina adds to the depth of design on the links. It could be polished to a higher shine if desired.
