A stylish very wearable original Victorian cross-over bangle; in the Etruscan Revival style with two circular finials and applied wirework detailing.

With the discovery of ancient archaeological sites, the Etruscan Revival style was all the rage in Victorian England. This would most likely have been a souvenir from a young lady’s Grand Tour of Europe.

This lovely example is eminently wearable today and looks great on its own or stacked with other pieces.

MATERIAL: 800 grade continental silver

SIZE: This is a flexible open cross-over style bangle so slightly adjustable to a range of small-medium wrists. The inner circumference naturally rests at approx.16 cm. Circles are 15mm across.

CONDITION: Some signs of original lead soldering at the terminal joints, part of its original construction. A couple of minor bruises commensurate with age to the side of the hollow domed terminals. Wirework decoration is all intact. No splits or tears to the body of the bangle. One slight spot on the underside of one dome from where this piece has been acid tested – not visible when worn. Overall lovely condition and very wearable today.
