A stunning mid-century modern cocktail ring; featuring a high dome of rich turquoise, with a ballerina skirt of baguettes to one side, all to a beautifully made scrolling mount of buttery 14ct yellow gold.

The intense even colour of the stones, with minimal marbling, indicates the turquoise is Angushtari quality; i.e. the finest quality of ‘Persian’ (modern day Iran) turquoise.

This is such a stylish piece and so embodies the fabulous extravagance of mid-century modern cocktail rings. The perfect addition to your vintage jewellery collection.

ERA: 1950s

ORIGIN: Unsigned but likely American

SIZE: U.S. size 6.25 (UK Size M). Height of ring is 1.4cm from finger to top of dome. Ring measures 2.25 across at widest point of gold scrollwork. Beautifully made though so it’s very comfortable to wear as the gold work doesn’t dig into other fingers but sits on a gorgeous gold ‘basket’ to give the height.

MATERIAL: Natural Turquoise and 14k yellow gold (stamped 14k)

CONDITION: Great vintage condition. The turquoise is perfect with no chips or cracks. The colour is well matched throughout and the main dome has very slightly natural matrix marbling to the base at one side. Mount is beautifully made and settings secure.

CARE GUIDANCE: This ring should not be immersed in liquids or come into contact with aerosols like hairspray/perfumes in order to protect the gorgeous turquoise. As this is a cocktail ring it is not recommend for everyday wear; but should be worn at fabulous parties and dinners out!
