Description
An adorable original antique Art Nouveau ring; featuring two dainty old cut diamonds, collet set in an elegant twist Toi Et Moi setting of buttery 18ct yellow gold.
The Toi Et Moi setting of two stones together has a rich and romantic history. It became popular in the late 18th Century when Emperor Napoleon gave Josephine an engagement ring set with a diamond and sapphire, cementing their unconventional and passionate attachment. It remained popular throughout the 19th Century and, in 1953 John F Kennedy gave Jackie an engagement ring of an emerald and diamond, which she later upgraded to the Toi Et Moi style.
This beauty has two twinkling little antique diamonds, offset to a scalloped Art Nouveau shank. A perfect proposal or engagement ring for any antique jewellery lover in need of some right hand sparkle.
