A charming original Edwardian Maltese Cross necklace; featuring lilac coloured amethysts and creamy seed pearls, set in warm antique 9ct yellow gold. The Maltese cross has been a perennial favourite in jewellery design history stretching right back from pre-Georgian era to the present day. This particular example is a really elegant design; it looks great dressed up or down and would be perfect for any antique jewellery lover.

SIZE: Chain measures 17″, drop measures 1.5″ from very top amethyst to bottom pearl, cross measures 0.75″ across.
CONDITION: Lovely antique condition. The stones are well matched and in good condition with no chips or cracks. The pearls have a lovely delicate lustre and are well matched. Chain and clasp is secure.
