Description
An exquisite original antique Edwardian negligee necklace; finely modelled with sparkling diamonds, and intense blue sapphires, all set in shimmering 18ct white gold.
This stunning piece is a rare survivor of the fashion for negligee, asymmetrical necklaces in the Edwardian era c.1910; as often these pieces were broken up to make earrings when fashions changed. This beauty is particularly lovely for the quality of the stones, and its very elegant chic cluster design, just on the cusp of the Edwardian and Art Deco eras.
This very special piece is extremely wearable today and easy to dress up or down. A great addition to any antique jewellery collection.
