Description
An elegant and unusual original Art Deco Zircon and Diamond ring. This natural zircon is a beautifully vibrant shade of sky blue in a rare emerald-cut shape. It is set in a lovely white gold mount, with diamond accent shoulders that are hand engraved and platinum tipped.
This is such a pretty ring and original period pieces like this are getting harder to find. Would make a beautiful dress ring or engagement ring.
ERA: Art Deco c.1920s
MATERIALS: Natural blue Zircon, diamond chip accents set in 18ct white gold with platinum topping to the shoulders. Stamped ‘18ct & Platinum’.
SIZE: UK size ‘N’ which is approx US size 6.5. The zircon is 7mm x 6mm. Diamond size is not estimable as they’re small accent stones. This ring could be resized with care by a professional jeweller experienced at working with zircons.
CONDITION: Great antique condition; the stone shows minimal signs of wear. Only one tiny flea bite to a top facet visible under magnification and mentioned only for accuracy, no chips. This is in unusually good condition for a Zircon or this age and the saturation of colour is beautifully intense. The setting is secure and nice thickness to back of shank.
CARE GUIDANCE: As it is an original Art Deco ring and zircons are naturally a softer stone than diamonds it is not suitable for wear during manual work, sports or immersing in liquids. It would be suitable as a dress or cocktail ring or an engagement ring if worn with care.
SHIPPING: Free inside U.S. and to UK
