A gorgeous quality Edwardian bracelet; the elegant central disc flanked by elongated panels around the wrist in a beautiful shade of baby blue guilloche enamel, accented with hand painted gold star decoration to the centre.
This chic bracelet was made in the early 1910s, by talented Norwegian enamellist Kristian M. Hestenes. He opened his workshop in 1904, making fine quality jewellery and specialising in the art of enamel. This beautiful example highlights why Scandinavian enamellists of this era really were the finest at the art, even to rival Faberge at the time.
The elegant lines of this piece make it perfect to take you from day to evening. A great addition to any antique jewellery collection.
ERA: c.1910s
MAKER: Kristian M. Hestenes – bears his makers mark ‘KH’ to reverse.
ORIGIN: Norwegian
MATERIAL: Sterling Silver – stamped 925, gilt vermeil wash, and guilloche enamel.
SIZE: 7.5″ long. Central disc is 19mm across.
CONDITION: Beautiful antique condition – no discernible damage to the piece with the naked eye. Under magnification it looks as though there is a tiny sliver of surface enamel that is uneven to the very edge of the central disc. This is the surface level only; no damage to the underlying blue. I believe it may have been part of the original firing of the enamel as there’s no sign of fractures or fissures around it. Mentioning only for utmost accuracy – does not impede the look of the piece or its wearability. Please see photos for details – more and video is available on request.
SHIPPING: Free inside the U.S. and to the UK – See FAQs for further details.
