A charming set of rare Victorian silver plated decanter labels; beautifully modelled as wooden barrels, surrounded by scrolling vines with gorgeous hand-engraved detailing and lettering.
This set of three are for Whisky, Gin, and Brandy – three of the classics for any cocktail cabinet! The tradition of decanter labels dates back to the Georgian era, and this lovely set of high Victorian ones definitely add some chic tradition to cut crystal bottles, or even just around the neck of modern bottles.
These are particularly lovely as they have an early ‘Diamond’ registration number to the reverse showing the design was trademarked on 31 January 1866! This set would make a lovely gift of fine British craftsmanship for the ‘hard-to-buy-for’ lady or gent in your life!

CONDITION: Charming antique condition – some wear to the silver plate commensurate with age but personally I think this only adds to the appeal. The hand-engraving has been beautifully done and is crisp. No loss of metal. Chains are all original and secure.
CARE GUIDANCE: Hand wash only and maintain polish with a gentle buff occasionally with a silver cloth.
