A gorgeous Victorian buckle ring; in buttery 18ct yellow gold set with old cut diamond and ruby accents. The Victorians loved symbolism and this piece encapsulates it perfectly; the rubies represent ‘passion’, diamonds represent ‘forever’, and the buckle represents ‘constancy’ – a perfect piece for lovers.
And as if it couldn’t get any better this adorable piece has a hand engraved inscription ‘Love is Eternal’ and date ‘2.7.56’ in script inside the shank. A great piece that looks wonderful on its own or stacked with other pieces.
ERA: Victorian – This has a lovely crisp Chester hallmark but unfortunately the date letters for 1833 and 1898 (both ‘P’ in a cut corner frame) are extremely similar so I’m not too sure which one it is! However this style of ring was more popular at the latter end of the Victorian era so going with caution approach I’m selling it as the latter (1898) – and that it was likely engraved with the dedication in 1956 not 1856.

CONDITION: Great antique condition. Gold is buttery yellow – details and hallmark still crisp. Stones are bright and lively – no chips or cracks. Please see photos – more available on request. Box pictured is for illustration only – will be supplied beautifully gift wrapped in an alternative box.
