Description
An absolutely charming antique signet ring that is the perfect dainty size for the little finger. It features a hand cut applied heart to a punch decorated and engraved shank; the whole in warm light blush rose gold. It also bears a beautiful set of full antique hallmarks to the reverse of the heart, showing this beauty was made in Birmingham, England in 1901.
Birmingham is one of the oldest and greatest centres for jewellery making in the UK, so this piece has a great pedigree. A great addition to any jewellery collection as it looks great on its own or alongside other pieces.
The perfect love token it would make an adorable proposal ring, or simply to gift yourself some self-love!
ERA: Edwardian – 1901
ORIGIN: Birmingham, England
MATERIAL: 9ct Rose Gold – note this is pale blush not deep rose colour
SIZE: U.S. 3.75 / UK H – The band measures 2mm across, and the heart 5mm top to bottom.
CONDITION: Charming antique condition – this piece does show some wear to the detail on the band, and the heart has a warm softened shape to the edges – but personally I think this only adds to the charm. The hallmarks are crisp and clear. The shank is a nice thickness and the heart securely attached.
