Victorian Miniature Silver Acorn Charm c.1880s

Description

An adorable miniature Victorian silver acorn charm pendant; modelled naturalistically as an acorn in 3D with beautifully embossed detail to the finial cap and pressed leaf accent. The Victorians loved nature and particularly when combined with symbolism; the acorn represented luck, prosperity, and growth so was a popular motif at the time.

This was originally an earring but the fitting had broken and so I’ve rescued it to make it a pendant with the addition of modern silver jump rings. It makes a really elegant addition to any jewellery collection.

ERA: Victorian c1880s components – converted from an earring into a pendant.

SIZE: 1cm tall not including jump ring.

WEIGHT: 0.8 grams

CONDITION: Great antique condition – this is a hollow piece but has no splits to the silver and a minute dink to the cap of the acorn which is barely noticeable and mentioned only for utmost accuracy. The modelling is crisp. The jump ring is not soldered close in case you want to add this to a charm bracelet. Please take particular note of the size – this is a miniature not full sized acorn. Chain for illustration only.

SHIPPING: Free inside the U.S. and to the UK – see FAQs for details
