An elegant Victorian blue sapphire solitaire; the deep blue oval cut stone set in a wonderful crown basket setting in warm 18ct yellow gold. The blue of this stone is so hard to capture – it’s a rich deep blue but has plenty of ‘life’ to it rather than some of the really dark black/blue sapphires. The setting is handmade and such a buttery yellow antique gold.
This would make a stunning engagement ring or perfect gift for any September baby. Would also make a wonderful ‘proposal’ ring if you want to propose with a genuine antique piece and then hunt for a larger engagement ring together.

MATERIAL: 18ct yellow gold (stamped 18 inside the shank) and natural blue sapphire.
SIZE: Ring is a small size – U.S. 3.75 / UK H but could be resized by a professional jeweller used to dealing with antique pieces. Stone measures 7x5mm.
WEIGHT: 2.3 grams
CONDITION: Great antique condition. The gold has a nice thickness to the shank and all claws are secure. Stone shows minimal wear for age and does not have any cracks or chips.
