An absolutely charming early Victorian pearl and diamond flower cluster ring; the pearls are particularly unusual and rare as they have a natural grey tint and are beautifully matched with rich lustre. The pearls are accented with sparkling white old cut diamonds to the centre and shoulders, all set in buttery 18ct yellow gold.
This is a really fine example of a timelessly elegant cluster design; making it perfect for all ages. A great addition to any jewellery collection it looks fabulous standing alone or layered with other antique pieces.
ERA: Victorian – full hallmark is partially stamped but still readable as being for Sheffield (crown mark) and 1859 (capital R date letter)

SIZE: U.S. size 5.75 / UK size ‘L’ – this could be resized carefully a little by a professional jeweller used to working with antique pieces but you may risk losing some of the hallmark. The cluster design measures 9mm across.
WEIGHT: Ring weighs 2.6 grams. Estimated diamond weight is 0.05 to the centre and 0.016 each to the shoulders (so total diamond weight 0.082ct)
CONDITION: Gorgeous antique condition; pearls are all original, well matched with good lustre. Diamonds are bright and sparkling; all original old cuts. Shank is still a good thickness for it’s age. The original hallmark was mis-stamped half way off the ring but it’s still possible to make out that its 18ct, bears the Victoria head, Sheffield crown, and date letter R.
CARE GUIDANCE: This is in beautiful condition for its age and should give plenty of wear to the new owner. However, she is still an old lady and as such is recommended for special occasions rather than everyday wear. In order to keep the pearls looking fabulous this ring should not be immersed in liquids or sprayed with aerosols.
