Description
An elegant pair of original Victorian earrings; featuring a vibrant blue glass to imitate turquoise, in a moulded button fashion, all set in warm 14ct gold to lever back hook fittings.
Althought these date to around 1880-1900, they’re surprisingly modern in style and eminently wearable today. The perfect accessory to a summer or winter wardrobe!
ERA: Victorian c.1880 – 1900
MATERIAL: Blue Glass (to imitate turquoise) and 14ct gold (unhallmarked but tested). There are some very tiny gold/makers marks to the top of the hooks but they’re very tiny to read – indicates they’re possibly French/European made.
SIZE: 12mm across and total drop from top of hooks is 17mm.
CONDITION: Great antique condition; the domed pattern on the glass is crisply modelled with no chips or cracks. The gold fittings are delicate, but close securely. I have not overcleaned these as I like the original patina but a jeweller could polish these to a higher shine if you desired.
SHIPPING: Free inside the UK and to the U.S. – American buyers please note that you’re responsible for any customs or import charges to the U.S.
