Vintage French Night & Day Silver Hoop Earrings c.1940s

A supremely chic pair of vintage French earrings; beautifully made as graduated half hoops with removeable graduated creole hoop drops. Such a great design and super versatile; they’re also solid and very ‘3D’ so give a great look. The clip ons look very elegant during the day and then you have the added wow factor with the creole hoop addition for the evening!

I don’t usually buy clip on earrings but I couldn’t resist this pair – they’re so chic and beautifully made. The perfect addition to any vintage jewellery collection.

ERA: Vintage c.1940s

ORIGIN: French – unmarked but purchased in France

MATERIAL: Silver – unmarked but tested

SIZE: The top half hoop clip is 2cm tall. The removable hoop is 2.5cm tall.

WEIGHT: 31.6grams – a substantial and well made pair.

CONDITION: Lovely vintage condition – the silver work is beautifully done and solid, not hollow. Light signs of wear commensurate with age. I have not over polished this piece as I prefer the patina of vintage silver but it could be polished to a higher shine if desired. See photos for details – video available on request.
