ORVIS Victorian Ouroboros Inspired Silver Riding Crop Bangle c.1950s

Description

A beautifully made bangle for any equine aficionado; featuring a stylish crop in sterling silver encircled around itself like an ouroboros snake representing never ending love! As such it’s a wonderfully romantic gift, even with a little sprinkle of Fifty Shades flavour if one were to be so inclined!

Founded in 1856, Orvis started out as a fly-fishing company but they quickly expanded to be come known for all things hunting, shooting, fishing, and the great outdoors in general. Although Victorian in style, judging by the style of silver marks, and safety chain I’m estimating this piece to be more vintage – around 1940/50s – than a true Victorian piece.

Given this, and it’s well made sturdy construction this would be a lovely day-to-day bangle that you wouldn’t have to worry about banging about as much in as one would with an earlier piece. Great piece for any lover of horses, or Christian Grey.
