A beautiful Victorian silver charm pendant; fashioned from a Victorian silver thrupence (three penny coin). One side still shows the original portrait of the queen in her later years, with the other side finely hand-engraved with a scrolling ‘Charlie’.
These silver charms are often referred to as sweetheart or love tokens as they were fashionable gifts between lovers. A great addition to any jewellery collection
ERA: Victorian – the detailed features on the queens side indicate this coin was made with the last portrait of the Queen used between 1893 and 1901.
